MARGAO: Cuncolim Union came from behind to beat Verna Sports Club 2-1 to book a place in the final of All- Goa Snow’s Trophy inter-village football tournament organised by Snow’s
Verna struck in the 22nd minute when Joao Abranches’ blistering shot beat the rival goalkeeper.
After resumption, Cuncolim Union put up a better display as they went all out in search of the equaliser. Their efforts bore fruit when Norman Fernandes neutralised the lead in
the 50th minute. Seven minutes later, Myron Fernandes sealed the rivals fate when his pile-driver eluded the rival goalkeeper.
Cuncolim Union will now meet Sporting Club of Davorlim in the finals on January 26.
