PANJIM: Despite the State reeling under debt of over Rs 20k crore, Goa has been adjudged the best governed small State in the country in the Public Affairs Index-2020 released by the Public Affairs Centre.
The PAC is headed by Dr K Kasturirangan, former Chairman of ISRO.
Goa has been ranked ahead of Himachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Nagaland, J&K and even Delhi.
Taking to twitter Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant hailed the recognition. “This award is a result of collective efforts, hard work and dedication of the people of Goa to excel in all spheres. I thank the PAC team led by Dr Kasturirangan, for this recognition,” he said.
