The downpour led to traffic congestion and forced flight diversions, prompting authorities to convene a high-level government meeting to assess the situation.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held discussions with the Chief Secretary and senior officials to evaluate the state’s preparedness. He emphasized the need for all departments to remain on high alert amid ongoing rainfall.

The Chief Minister specifically instructed officials to closely monitor low-lying areas and identify zones prone to waterlogging, ensuring pre-emptive measures are in place.
Additionally, CM Reddy directed the Chief Secretary to mobilize emergency response teams from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) to be fully on standby to tackle any crises in the capital.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely as the city braces for further rainfall.
