MARGAO: Top seed Anaya Shukla and second seed Shaurya Dessai booked their spots in the U-11 girls singles final at the MCC All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025 at Fatorda multipurpose stadium.
Anaya eased past Claire George 3-0 in the semis, after defeating Radha Desai by the same margin in the quarters. Shaurya relied on steady backhand blocks and precise smashes to overcome Aarna Walawalkar 3-1, having earlier swept Tasha Mascarenhas 3-0. Aarna had survived a five-game thriller against Tvisha Kotkar 3-2, while Claire impressed with a 3-1 win over Sanaz Shaikh.
In U-13 boys’ quarters, top seed Ruhaan Shaikh, second seed Vedant Wagle, third seed Yug Prabhu and fourth seed Yuvaan Sanke advanced comfortably. U-17 boys’ last-eight saw Chandan Caro, Vedant Wagle, Dhruva Kamat and Rishan Shaikh progress, setting up exciting semi-final clashes.
