RAIA: Fatorda Veterans edged past Nuvem Veterans 5-3 via tie-breaker to crown champions in the 1st all-Goa inter-village veterans football tournament organised by Marc Caterers Nuvem at Nuvem Church ground, on Sunday.
Both the teams were held to a 1-1 draw at full-time.
Marcus Carvalho opened the account for Nuvem Veterans, while Francisco Colaco equalised for Fatorda Veterans.
In the deceive penalty shoot-out, Francisco Andrade, Francisco Colaco, Jhon Araujo and Fr Mario Noronha were on target for Fatorda Veterans, while Milagres Fernandes and Agnelo Colaco found net for Nuvem Veterans.
Goa Football Association former vice-president and FC Siolim President Francisco Fernandes was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Luis Vaz, Robert Fernandes, panch members Johnny and Manuel, club officials and other dignitaries.
