Michael Lobo Urges Online Police Verification App After Anjuna Hotel Theft Remains Unsolved

Three days after a burglary at a hotel owned by BJP MLA Michael Lobo, police are yet to identify the thief who stole a cash box from the restaurant section of the property. CCTV footage of the suspect has been obtained, but officials said his photo does not match any record in existing police databases.

Expressing concern over the delay in identifying the culprit, Lobo urged the government to introduce an online verification system for hotels and guesthouses. “The government should create an app for hotel owners so that police verification of staff and tenants can be done easily,” he said.
