RAIA: Curtorim Gymkhana were crowned champions of Goa Football Association Division III Salcete Zone League by defeating SCS Poitomado 5-1 in the play-off final match played at the Rosary Church ground, Navelim, on Thursday.
Curtorim Gymkhana scored through Alfred Noronha, Sowell Fernandes, Crimson Fernandes, Selton Fernandes and Albino Pereira in the 15th, 53rd, 60th, 70th and 75th minute of play.
While SCS Poitomado pulled one goal back through penalty kick from Viraj Velip in the 90+2 minute of play.
Both the teams have qualified for the Division II League for the next season.
GFA President Caetano Fernandes along with Senior Vice-President Anthony Pango, Constancio Rodrigues, Andrew Ferrao, Melwyn D’Costa, Shubert Furtado, Anthony Fernandes and Raj Cabral were present for the final.

South Zone League: Ace Academy win
Ace Soccer Academy moved past Vasco United FC 2-1 to collect full points in the Goa Football Association U-14 Division II South Zone League match played at Chicalim Panchayat ground, on Thursday.
Nilesh Yadav and Pawit Dhumale scored a goal each for Ace Soccer Academy, while Ashol Dharlani reduced the margin for Vasco United FC.
