Is Nishant Kumar the future of JD(U)? Posters ignite debate

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s family has largely stayed away from active politics in Bihar. His son, Nishant Kumar, has never shown interest in joining JD(U) or participating in political affairs, with Nitish himself stating that he does not intend to push his son into politics.

However, recent developments in Patna have stirred speculation. Posters featuring Nitish Kumar and Nishant have appeared on several streets and outside the JD(U) office. The messages read, “Nitish ka sevak… Nishant ki mang… Ab party ki command sambhalen, Nishant Bhai,” suggesting that Nishant could be the future leader of JD(U).

The posters, released alongside congratulations to Nitish on his historic 10th swearing-in as Chief Minister, have sparked discussions among party workers and the public. Within JD(U), questions are now being raised about whether Nitish might be considering bringing his son into politics.
