PANJIM: Arya Parab will lead the Goa Women’s Under-15 team at the upcoming U-15 Women’s One Day Trophy, to be held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, from January 2 to 10. The squad, selected by the Goa Cricket Association (GCA), will compete against teams from across the country in the national-level tournament, aimed at providing valuable exposure and competitive match experience to emerging young cricketers. Goa will open their campaign against Baroda on January 2, followed by matches against Hyderabad (January 4), Jharkhand (January 6), Vidarbha (January 8) and Punjab (January 10).
The 16-member squad comprises Arya Parab (captain), Sanskruti Mapari, Joya Meer, Norah D’Souza, Teertha Patnekar, Vaidehi Sheth, Shreeshtika Shivarkar, Nirmiti Khanvilkar, Pooja Kalel, Vidika Sawant, Siya Bind, Kimya Desai, Kanishka Pagi, Sanvi Komarpant, Kanika Komarpant and Riddhi Naik.
The team was announced in the presence of GCA president Mahesh Desai, secretary Tulshidas Shetye, vice-president Paresh Fadte, director of coaching and cricket operations Prakash Mayenkar, and head coach Radha Dhuri, who extended their best wishes to the players.
