The Dalgado Konkni Akademi (DKA) has announced the recipients of the prestigious Dalgado Puroskar 2025, which will be conferred at a special ceremony on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 4 pm at the Ravindra Bhavan Conference Hall in Margao.
The annual awards recognise individuals for their outstanding contributions to Konkani literature and culture in the Roman script.

This year’s awardees are Xri Tomazinho Cardozo, who will receive the Dalgado Jivon Gourov Puroskar for Lifetime Achievement; Xri Vincy Quadros, selected for the Dalgado Sahityik Puroskar; and Pri Alfred Judas Vas, who will be honoured with the Dalgado Romi Konkni Seva Puroskar. Xmt. Platilda Afonso e Dias has been chosen for the Dalgado Sonskrutik Puroskar, while Xri Daniel F. de Souza will receive the Fr. Freddy J. Da Costa Potrkarita Puroskar. The Joel D’Souza Daiz Puroskar will be awarded to Xri Miguel Braganza, and Xmt. Sandhya Angeli Fernandes will be honoured with the Berta Menezes Ostori Puroskar.
The award ceremony will be presided over by Celso Fernandes, President of the Dalgado Konkni Akademi, and will be attended by prominent personalities as chief guest and guest of honour.
