United Club of Utorda Hosts Seminar on Eradication of Social Vices Under Goa State Youth Policy

The United Club of Utorda, under the aegis of the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Goa, successfully organised a seminar on the eradication of social vices at Our Lady of Lourdes School, Utorda. The initiative was held in line with the Goa State Youth Policy 2015, with the objective of creating awareness and encouraging positive engagement among youth.

The seminar featured informative and inspiring sessions by Dr. Nashville Pereira of the Cansaulim Health Centre and Ms. Ketaaki Parob, whose presentations kept the audience actively engaged and motivated.

Rev. Fr. Arvino Fernandes, Manager of Our Lady of Lourdes School, attended the programme as the Chief Guest. Headmistress Mrs. Linnete Martin lauded the United Club of Utorda for the effective planning and smooth execution of the event.

Sir Umer Mutawali coordinated the arrangements to ensure the seminar was conducted seamlessly. The programme was compered by Belinda Pereira, while Shaline Antao delivered the vote of thanks, expressing special gratitude to Dr. Ajay Gaude, Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, for his continued support and encouragement.

An interactive open session saw participants including Filomen D. Sousa, Ms. Ritika Vishwakarma and Remy Pereira share their views, enriching the discussion. Support for the event was also extended by Robert Noronha, Tony Monterio, Savio Pereira, Marcelina Vaz and Francis Cardozo.

The seminar drew enthusiastic participation from around 120 attendees, making it a meaningful and impactful initiative by the United Club of Utorda aimed at addressing social challenges and empowering youth.
