The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of Goa Customs has seized approximately 9 kg of hydroponic cannabis, valued at around ₹3.16 crore, at Manohar International Airport.
The contraband was recovered from the checked-in baggage of a passenger who had arrived in Goa from Bangkok via Tashkent. Acting on intelligence inputs, customs officials intercepted the passenger during baggage screening and обнаружed the narcotic substance concealed in the luggage.
The passenger has been booked under the relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigation is underway to trace possible links to an international drug trafficking network.
