Goa Targets 100% Renewable Energy by 2050 Under Clean Energy Roadmap: CM Pramod Sawant

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that Goa has embarked on an ambitious journey towards a green and sustainable future with the formulation of a comprehensive Clean Energy Roadmap, which aims to achieve 100 per cent renewable energy by 2050.

The Chief Minister said the roadmap lays out a clear strategy to gradually reduce the state’s dependence on fossil fuels while promoting clean and renewable energy sources such as solar power, bioenergy and green hydrogen. These initiatives will be implemented across key sectors including power generation, transport, tourism and industry.

He added that the Clean Energy Roadmap reflects the state government’s strong commitment to sustainable development, climate action and long-term energy security.
