The 2026 seasons of both the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Indian Premier League (IPL) are set to kick off on the same day, March 26, setting up a direct clash between the two T20 tournaments. According to Geo News, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided not to sell PSL broadcast or media rights to India ahead of the 11th season. The PSL will run from March 26 to May 3, while the IPL is scheduled from March 26 to May 31.
The league has expanded, adding two new teams and increasing its star power. Sialkot Stallionz signed former Australia captain Steve Smith, while several high-profile coaches, including Tim Paine and Jason Gillespie, have joined PSL franchises. Team retentions close on February 6, followed by the first-ever PSL auction on February 11.
