A self-accident was reported on the Karaswada highway near the Industrial Estate after an MH-registered car allegedly lost control and rammed into a roadside crash barrier on Friday.
According to local sources, the vehicle was travelling from Peddem towards Karaswada when the driver reportedly swerved onto the service road before plunging into a roadside drainage gutter. The impact left the car badly damaged.
Personnel from Colvale Police Station reached the spot and carried out the panchanama.
No serious injuries were reported in the incident. Further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
