Three Accused in Gulistan Masjid Murder Case Granted Conditional Anticipatory Bail

Three of the eight persons arrested in connection with the murder outside the Sunni Gulistan Masjid have been granted conditional anticipatory bail by a local court.

The incident, which occurred on January 31, 2026, had sent shockwaves across Goa. The case was registered at the Fatorda Police Station following a violent altercation reportedly stemming from an internal committee rivalry.

Bail with Strict Conditions

As per the court’s order, the three accused have been directed to surrender their passports and cooperate fully with the investigating authorities. The bail is subject to compliance with these and other standard conditions imposed by the court.

Investigation Continues

Police had arrested eight individuals in connection with the murder, and further investigation into the circumstances leading to the incident is ongoing.

Authorities are continuing to record statements and gather evidence as part of the probe into the fatal altercation.
