A heated exchange was reported during the Navelim Gram Sabha meeting after villagers questioned the procedure followed for selecting temporary staff and installing CCTV cameras. Resident Roshni Rodrigues raised concerns about transparency in the appointment process. The Sarpanch responded that the announcement regarding staff selection had been made earlier in the church, but several Gram Sabha members said they were not informed properly. As tensions grew, the Sarpanch decided to call off the meeting before the remaining agenda could be discussed. A six-member committee was later formed to review the CCTV installation process. Other civic concerns, including garbage management and road digging in the village, were also briefly discussed.
