Tarimol Villagers Halt Bendwada Bridge Work Over Fears of Losing Road Access

Residents of Tarimol staged a protest near the under-construction Bendwada bridge, raising concerns over the potential loss of their only road access to the village.

Villagers gathered at the site and halted ongoing construction work on the bridge as well as the approach road, fearing that the project could block or disrupt the existing route they depend on for daily connectivity.

According to locals, the current access road is the lifeline of the village, and any obstruction could severely impact movement, emergency services, and essential supplies. Protesters insisted that their concerns must be addressed before construction resumes.

The demonstration is part of an ongoing agitation, with residents demanding clarity from authorities on how alternative access will be ensured. They have urged officials to intervene immediately and provide a solution that safeguards their connectivity while allowing development work to proceed.

The situation remains tense, with villagers maintaining their stand until assurances are given regarding uninterrupted access to Tarimol.
