MARGAO: The special gram sabha of Colva at its special gram sabha on October 2 unanimously congratulated FDA officer Iva Fernandes for testing and finding formalin in fish in the trucks at the wholesale fish market at Margao.
The villagers congratulated her for having the courage to state the truth and withstanding all kinds of pressures to change her report that exposed the bitter reality of food items available in the market.
The villagers said they were proud of Iva Fernandes, who hails from Colva.
