Speaking to Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte, Bruno has tipped Portugal to win the FIFA World Cup for the first time in the country’s history. He believes Cristiano Ronaldo will play a leading role in what is expected to be the veteran forward’s final appearance at football’s biggest tournament.
Bruno claims he has been backing Portugal since 2022 and now expects Roberto Martínez’s side to go all the way. According to his prediction, Portugal will defeat Spain in the final to lift the trophy. He also sees Ronaldo emerging as one of the standout performers of the tournament.
Portugal head into the World Cup with a star-studded squad featuring Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Vitinha, João Neves, Rafael Leão, Pedro Neto, Rúben Dias and Nuno Mendes alongside Ronaldo. The squad is regarded as one of the strongest in the country’s history and is among the favourites for the title.
The psychic also named France, Spain, England, Argentina and Brazil as major contenders but believes Portugal possess the balance and quality needed to become world champions.
Bruno’s predictions do not stop there. He expects defending champion Argentina to be eliminated in the quarterfinals, ending Lionel Messi’s hopes of retaining the trophy. While he did not specify the opponent, he believes Argentina’s campaign will end before the semifinals.
He was equally pessimistic about Brazil’s chances, citing concerns over Neymar’s fitness. Bruno suggested Brazil would once again fall short of the last four if the team becomes overly dependent on the returning forward.
