Bangladeshi National Sent to Judicial Custody in Mapusa Dacoity Case
Mapusa, Goa: The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court in Mapusa has remanded Mohammad Nazir, a Bangladeshi national, to 14 days’ judicial custody in connection with the high-profile Mapusa dacoity case.

Nazir was brought to Goa on a transfer warrant from Delhi after being apprehended in a joint operation conducted by the Goa Police and the Delhi Special Cell. Following his production before the court, the JMFC ordered that he be sent to judicial custody for a period of 14 days.
According to police sources, Nazir is believed to be linked to the dacoity case that is currently under investigation. His arrest marks another significant development in the probe.
Investigators have already arrested five other accused in connection with the case and are continuing efforts to uncover the full extent of the alleged criminal network involved.
Police are expected to further examine Nazir’s role in the incident and ascertain whether additional individuals were involved in the planning or execution of the crime.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have indicated that further arrests cannot be ruled out as the probe progresses.
