Old Goa Police have arrested two accused from Madhya Pradesh in connection with a mangalsutra snatching incident reported from Corlim in Tiswadi.

According to police, the accused allegedly snatched a 22-gram mangalsutra valued at approximately ₹2.2 lakh from a 58-year-old woman before escaping from the spot on a scooter.
Following the complaint, Old Goa Police launched an investigation and gathered evidence to trace the suspects. Acting on leads developed during the probe, the police successfully tracked down and arrested both accused, who are residents of Madhya Pradesh.
The stolen mangalsutra was allegedly taken in a swift snatching operation, leaving the victim shocked. Police have not yet disclosed whether the stolen jewellery has been recovered.
Further investigation is underway to determine whether the accused were involved in similar offences in the state or elsewhere.
The arrested individuals have been taken into custody, and police are continuing their inquiries into the case.
