A four to five-year-old specially abled child was allegedly assaulted behind a school premises in Assagao, prompting swift action by Mapusa Police, who have detained a suspect in connection with the incident.
According to police, the child was reported missing before teachers and local residents launched a search in the surrounding area. The child was later found on a forested slope behind the school premises.
