The Free Fire World Cup (FFWC) 2026 is set to take centre stage as one of the flagship tournaments of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026, bringing together the world’s top Free Fire teams for four days of high-intensity battle royale action. Scheduled to take place from July 15 to July 18, this year’s competition marks a major shift as the event moves from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in France.
With a $1 million prize pool, the FFWC remains one of the biggest Free Fire tournaments of the year. The event also contributes to the Esports World Cup’s record-breaking overall prize pool of $75 million, making it one of the richest esports festivals ever held.

Tournament Schedule
The championship will be played across four days in a three-stage format:
- Group Stage: July 15-16
- Survival Stage: July 17
- Grand Finals: July 18
Tournament Format
The 2026 edition introduces an expanded field of 24 teams, divided into multiple stages to determine the world champion.
Group Stage (July 15-16)
The 24 qualified teams will be split into two groups of 12. Each group will play 12 matches, with the top-performing teams advancing.
- Top four teams from each group qualify directly for the Grand Finals.
- Teams finishing between fifth and tenth move to the Survival Stage.
- The bottom two teams from each group are eliminated from the tournament.
Survival Stage (July 17)
Twelve teams will battle across 10 matches for the remaining Grand Finals spots.
- The top four teams qualify for the Grand Finals.
- The remaining eight teams are eliminated.
Grand Finals (July 18)
The final will feature 12 teams competing under the Champion Rush format.
Under this system, teams must first reach 80 points to become championship contenders. Once eligible, they must secure a Booyah (match victory) to claim the world title. If no eligible team wins a Booyah within the scheduled 10 matches, the championship will be awarded to the team with the highest overall points.
Participating Teams
The tournament features representatives from every major Free Fire region, ensuring a truly global competition.
Among the favourites are defending champions EVOS Divine, who return to defend their 2025 title. Southeast Asia will be represented by Team Secret, AG.AL, Twisted Minds, Aurora Gaming, Buriram United Esports, RRQ Kazu, Team Vitality, and Team Falcons.
Brazil’s challenge includes LOUD, LOS, and Fluxo W7M, while Latin America will be represented by GunDynasty and LYON.
Other regional representatives include MÍA Corp (USA), Demons Pride (Pakistan), ParadoX Gaming (Africa), DRS Gaming (Nepal), Al Ahli Esports (MENA), Straw Hats Esports and Titan Esports Club (Bangladesh).
India will have three representatives in the tournament after qualifying through the Free Fire Max India Cup (FFMIC) Spring. Team Apex Gaming, S8UL Esports, and Total Gaming Esports will carry the country’s hopes in Paris.
With a revamped format, a stacked international field and one of the largest prize pools in Free Fire history, the FFWC 2026 promises to deliver thrilling action as the world’s best teams compete for esports’ biggest prize.
