Dr. Dhume served the state in several key public health leadership roles and made significant contributions to Goa’s healthcare system during her tenure. As Director of Health Services, she played an important role in strengthening public health services, while her leadership at the Goa State AIDS Control Society was instrumental in advancing HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention and control initiatives in the state.
Her demise has been mourned by members of the medical fraternity, former colleagues and well-wishers, who remembered her for her dedicated service and commitment to public healthcare.
She passed away following a prolonged illness.
