The accused has been identified as Prathamesh Prakash Naik (29), while the injured pedestrian is Anita Patil (40).
According to police, the electric scooter allegedly struck the pedestrian, causing severe injuries to her leg. She was initially treated locally before being referred to Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, for further medical treatment.
Police arrested the accused on July 13 in connection with the accident. He was later released on bail on the same day after completing the necessary legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
