Goa Declares Colvale Central Jail a ‘No Drone Fly Zone’ to Enhance Prison Security

The Goa Department of Home (General) has declared the Central Jail at Colvale a ‘No Drone Fly Zone’ as part of measures to strengthen prison security and prevent unauthorised drone operations in and around the correctional facility.

According to the official order, the decision has been taken to curb the misuse of drones, enhance surveillance, and safeguard the integrity of the criminal justice system. The restriction is also aimed at preventing the unauthorised delivery of prohibited items into the prison premises.
