Students of PM SHRI Government High School, Kalem, have received a major boost with the introduction of a school bus, providing a long-awaited solution to their daily transportation challenges.
The bus, which belongs to Dr. K. B. Hedgewar Vidyalaya in Sanvordem, has been made available to the school through the efforts of Sanket Arsekar after he took note of the difficulties faced by students in commuting to and from school.

Until now, many students were forced to walk long distances to reach their homes after classes, often returning only around 4 p.m. The absence of reliable transport had been a persistent concern for both students and their families.
Parents have welcomed the initiative, stating that the school bus will ensure children travel home safely while significantly reducing their commuting time. Local residents have also appreciated the effort, describing it as a meaningful step towards improving students’ daily lives, safety and overall well-being.
