The United States military carried out its 10th consecutive night of airstrikes on Iran late Monday, intensifying efforts to restore security in the Strait of Hormuz amid escalating hostilities between the two countries.
According to US Central Command, the latest strikes were aimed at further weakening Iranian military capabilities allegedly used to target commercial shipping in the strategically vital waterway.

The renewed military action follows the death of another American service member and comes after Iran reportedly launched attacks on US allies Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, which hosts the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet.
The conflict has raised fears of a broader regional war, with the US and Iran moving closer to direct confrontation despite ongoing diplomatic efforts.
In a possible sign of renewed negotiations, Iran’s interior minister travelled to Pakistan, which has been acting as a key mediator, for discussions aimed at reducing tensions.
Meanwhile, the temporary agreement reached last month to halt the fighting has effectively collapsed. Commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global energy transit route, has been severely disrupted, while both sides have increasingly targeted civilian infrastructure relied upon by millions, further deepening the humanitarian and economic impact of the conflict.
