The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Thursday reiterated its demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the setting up of fast-track courts to ensure swift action in examination paper leak cases.
Responding to the Prime Minister’s statement, CJP maintained that its primary demand for the Education Minister’s resignation remained unchanged.

On Wednesday, the organisation had declared that its protest would continue until all four of its key demands were accepted. These include the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, compensation of ₹1 crore for the families of students who allegedly died by suicide in connection with examination-related issues, and other reforms aimed at strengthening the education system.
Prime Minister Modi had earlier announced that fast-track courts would be established to ensure speedy trials and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks, while assuring that the future of India’s youth would be protected.
Despite the announcement, the CJP indicated that it would continue its agitation until the government addresses its demands in full. The protest has now entered its 34th day, drawing support from opposition leaders, activists and several public figures.
