Residents of Davondem, who have been opposing the proposed mega projects in their locality, on Tuesday met the Administrator and the Chief Officer of the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) seeking clarity on the status of the developments.
The residents said they have made several representations and visited the concerned authorities on multiple occasions but have yet to receive any official confirmation regarding the proposed projects.

During the meeting, the delegation raised its concerns and urged the civic authorities to provide a clear position on the issue.
According to the residents, the Administrator assured them that the matter would be examined in detail before any decision is taken. The delegation was also informed that the authorities would communicate their decision within the next 10 days.
The residents expressed hope that their objections and concerns would be given due consideration and that the authorities would arrive at an appropriate decision after a thorough review of the matter.
