Passengers traveling through the National Capital Region face significant schedule disruptions over the next month and a half due to major infrastructure upgrades at Faridabad railway station. Indian Railways has initiated a 45-day redevelopment project aimed at improving station infrastructure and modernizing facilities to ensure smoother long-term train operations along the route.
Faridabad railway station, located along the busy Hazrat Nizamuddin–Palwal section under the jurisdiction of Northern Railway’s Delhi Division, will undergo extensive technical and construction work. According to Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Northern Railway, a power and traffic block will be imposed across Platforms 2 and 3 (specifically Line numbers 4 and 5) to carry out the necessary works safely and efficiently.

The prolonged construction schedule directly impacts multiple daily and regional rail services passing through the line. A total of nine trains have been fully cancelled, while 20 other services will bypass the station entirely without taking their scheduled halts. Additionally, passengers should expect platform reassignments, adjusted stoppage schedules, and temporary route modifications for various other trains during the block period. Travelers are advised to verify their train status and updated stoppage details via official railway channels before embarking on their journeys.
