Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has ordered swift action against those involved in the recent firing incident in Porvorim, asserting that such incidents will not be tolerated in the state.
Reacting to the incident, Sawant said he had conducted a detailed inquiry after learning about the shooting and assured that all those involved would be arrested and sent behind bars soon.
The Chief Minister also said the motive behind the attack would be established during the investigation. He stressed that his government would not tolerate such incidents in Goa.
“I have instructed the DGP to nab those involved and put them behind bars as soon as possible,” Sawant said.
The statement comes as police continue their investigation into the Porvorim firing, with forensic teams examining the scene and collecting evidence to identify those responsible.
