BICHOLIM, MAY 8
A contractor was duped to the tune of Rs 1 lakh by an unknown person at Bordem-Bicholim on Friday afternoon. According to Bicholim police, the incident occurred when Yogesh Kothkar of Assonora was proceeding from Assonora to Bicholim on his scooter with Rs 2 lakh.
On reaching Bordem, since the petrol in his scooter got over, he decided to go to the nearby petrol pump by walking. While going towards the petrol pump, he took Rs 1 lakh with him, while the balance of Rs 1 lakh he left in his scooter, but he forgot to lock the dicky of the scooter. When he returned to his scooter, he was stunned to see that Rs 1 lakh was missing.
Later, he filed a police complaint with the regard. Bicholim police is investigating the case.
