Ponda: Ponda Police have registered an FIR following a complaint filed by the Bandora Panchayat Secretary and Sarpanch alleging that Vijesh Naik assaulted Panch member Ramchandra Naik at the Panchayat office.
According to the complaint, the alleged assault took place while Ramchandra Naik was carrying out his official duties at the Panchayat office. Vijesh Naik allegedly attacked the Panch member with fist blows and a glass piece.

The incident reportedly left Ramchandra Naik with serious injuries to his hand. The complaint also alleges that the Panchayat office’s sitting counter was damaged during the incident.
Police have registered the FIR and further investigation is underway.
