MAPUSA: Mapusa Police have arrested a 22-year-old man from Jharkhand following a narcotics raid at the parking area of the New KTC Bus Stand in Mapusa.
According to a police note, the accused, identified as Vishal, was allegedly found in possession of 2 kg of a substance suspected to be ganja, with an estimated value of around Rs 2 lakh. Police also seized Rs 500 in cash during the operation.

The raid was carried out by PSI Mangesh Divakar Palni, along with personnel from the Mapusa Police, based on prior information received by the police.
PSI Palni lodged the complaint on behalf of the State, following which PSI Bablo Parab registered the offence.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
