Goa: Rashtra Sankalp Swayamsevak volunteers introduced a dedicated Nirmalya segregation initiative during the Ganesh Visarjan festivities, collecting flowers and other religious offerings separately in designated containers.
The collected Nirmalya was subsequently taken away for further disposal, helping prevent religious offerings from being discarded into water bodies and contributing to pollution.

The initiative encouraged devotees to dispose of Nirmalya responsibly while supporting cleaner immersion sites.
Meanwhile, traffic management arrangements were maintained at the immersion site to facilitate the smooth movement of devotees and vehicles during the festivities. Personnel were deployed to manage traffic and ensure that the procession and immersion activities proceeded in an orderly manner.
