MAPUSA: Congress leader Michael Lobo, stating that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) voters themselves will sent Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza back home, said, “Mapusa MLA has done nothing in last two and half years. Being vice chairman of GSIDC, he could have done a lot in Mapusa. People of Mapusa, BJP voters particularly will send him back home,” said Lobo.
Lobo, responding to the statement made by BJP election in-charge of Goa Devendra Fadnavis said, “I know Mhapshekars very closely. I know what they want in Mapusa. They don’t want more buildings to come up by filling the fields. Ravindra Bhavan is the least they will allow on agriculture land.”

Lobo further said, “In Aldona, there is a straight fight between Indian National Congress and Trinamool Congress. BJP is the third option.”
Lobo also stated that BJP has started doing vindictive politics where they are using government machinery on the people talking or working against BJP.
Lobo further claimed that Congress will scrap the three linear projects after coming to power. Lobo said that Goa’s natural wealth needs to be protected for the future generation.
“Former chief minister Manohar Parrikar is on record that there would be a cap on coal handling but this government wants double tracking project to transport coal to Karnataka. I had opposed the double tracking as well as Tanmar projects since these projects require cutting of trees,” said Lobo.
