We Goans are lucky and blessed, because first of all we are directly under the protection of our heavenly saint Francis Xavier with an incorruptible body. Secondly, we are equally fortunate enough to have the most highly qualified chief minister in the country to govern and minister to our daily problems and of course find solutions to them. I presume our chief minister’s name will be remembered down the memory lane and will be written in letters of gold in the annals of history amongst the great who have been immortalized by their magnanimous deeds in the Who’s Who, if and only if he executes and fulfills the following criteria: Goes by the pulse and feelings of ‘Niz Goemkar’; leaves no stone unturned to get the Special Status for Goa to preserve its uniqueness which is ‘Goemkarponn’; Resolves the mining problem once for all and starts legal mining; puts an everlasting end to the MoI imbroglio; Draws an amicable road map to the regional plan; and stops dreaming of Mopa and nurtures Dabolim as Goa’s only airport.
