QUEPEM: In Borimol Primary Health Centre on Thursday pregnant women, children were seen standing in long queue, from 8 am with no facilities like shades or sitting arrangement or any facilities to their respite.
People piling up with least social distancing and no action from doctors and health staff are seen to be taken to make them abide by the COVID protocol
People claim that Quepem SDM should interfere to manage it properly to give them proper guidelines to control the situation.
Apparently people tested positive are found moving freely in market, which is deliberating pandemic situation going out of the control in Quepem and eventually in the State.
Ex-minister Prakash Velip said, “I am at home from last four days, but through media, everyone know how critical the situation is. Today we need proper arrangements for COVID positive patients, especially beds should be arranged where government can provide these facilities to the people.”
According to Quepem PI Deepak Pednekar that around 48 beds are arranged at government collage of arts commerce and science college hall at Quepem, and it will be in operational in two days. Further he added along with deputy CM Babu Kavalekar, Quepem police visited place for inspection and to look after arrangements of bed made for COVID positive patients. Oxygen cylinders are provided at location, he said.
