According to reports, on November 25, when she and Sarpanch Amita Naik were traveling on a scooter, an unknown person knocked them down from behind and fled from the scene. Filomena suffered serious injuries in the accident while Amita suffered minor injuries.
They were admitted to a private hospital at Mapusa, where Filomena died on Sunday at 3 pm.
