Archbishop leaves for Portugal

PANJIM: Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao has left for Portugal at the invitation of the Bishop of Leiria-Fatima, in order to preside over the international celebrations of the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, on October 12 and 13.

PANJIM: Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao has left for Portugal at the invitation of the Bishop of Leiria-Fatima, in order to preside over the international celebrations of the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, on October 12 and 13. 
According to Fr Olavo Caiado, Director of Diocesan Centre for Social Communications Media the vigil on October 12 begins at 6.30 pm (GMT) and it includes a multilingual session by Archbishop Ferrao. On October 13, the Solemn Mass begins at 10 am, followed by blessing of the sick and the ‘Farewell Procession’. The Portuguese television channel (RTPI) will cover the event for viewers in Goa. After spending two days in Portugal, the Archbishop will travel to Rome to meet with Goan priests studying there and their Rectors. He will return on October 20.
