CARMONA: Navelim Villagers Union shot-out Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda 6-5 via penalties to move into the final of the 2nd Carmona VP Cup organised by Carmona SC, at Carmona VP ground, on Saturday.
Don Bosco’s Joel Camara broke the deadlock in the 34th minute but the joy was short- lived as Navelim’s Travis D’Souza’s shot got deflected off a Don Bosco defender resulting in the ball landing in the DBO goal in the 46th minute.
In the tie breaker, Navelim Villagers Union netted through Clinton, Ronaldo, Travis, Nevin and Mezio while Velito, Cliff, Royston and Elroy scored for Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda.
Navelim Villagers Union will now meet Sarzora SC in the final on March 8. Don Bosco’s Joel Camara was adjudged man of the match.
