Hot-mixing of internal roads in Molcornem village commences

SANGUEM: The hot-mixing of internal roads at Molcornem Village Panchayat at a cost of around Rs 70 lakh commenced on Friday.

The project work was inaugurated by Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar in the presence of Molcornem Village Panchayat Sarpanch Leonara Rodrigues and panchas Kushali Malik, Deepak Naik, Sandeep Malkarnekar, Sandesh Gaonkar, Rajashri Gaonkar and Ramesh Malik.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Gaonkar said that during the last four years he has undertaken several development projects in the constituency despite being in Opposition. And in the next two months several other projects will be undertaken in the different parts of the constituency.

He said that projects such as playground at Bhati and Molcornem are in the final stages of completion. Similarly, the pending work of playgrounds at Wadem Colony No 2 and at Netravali will also be undertaken in the next couple of months.

“Over the last couple of years, the work of construction of bridge at Dongor Ward of Bhati Village is completed while the work of laying of pipeline for 2 MLD drinking water supply project to Wadem and Netravali Village is in the final stage,” said Gaonkar.

He however criticised the Opposition political leaders in Sanguem for delaying the construction work of much needed parallel bridge at Dando-Sanguem. Though the government had laid foundation stone for the construction of the parallel bridge, the work is presently held up for obvious reasons.

However, he assured to work for the all-round development of Sanguem Constituency during the remaining part of his tenure and also get completed the project works which he has proposed and sanctioned by the government.
