PANJIM: The Fast Track Court in Panjim has reserved its order on accused Tarun Tejpal application to see his ailing mother once a week at their home in Moira, for April 2.
The order on another plea seeking all the 12 volumes of the charge sheet filed by Crime Branch and the unedited CCTV footage of the hotel where the alleged incident happened will also be pronounced on the same day.
Tejpal has asked for the CCTV footage covering four days from November 7 to 10, 2013.
In his first application, Tejpal has requested permission of the court to be with his mother, who is critically ill with brain tumour. “Put any conditions, but allow him to meet his mother at least once a week for two hours,” Delhi-based lawyer Adv Dubey, representing the journalist, told the court.
The prosecution l did not object to the plea. While in another application, besides seeking the entire unedited CCTV footage of the hotel, Tejpal has also sought for call details, SMSes and tower location of the crucial persons including him and the victim.
Tejpal is charge sheeted for raping, sexually harassing and outraging modesty of his woman colleague on two occasions in the lift of a hotel where Tehelka’s annual THiNK Fest conclave was hosted.
Meanwhile, the court presided over by Judge Vijaya Pol will pronounce verdict on Crime Branch’s application about continuing its investigation and filing a supplementary charge sheet, on April 11.
