PANJIM: Navhind Publications defeated Tarun Bharat 1-0 to win the inter-media 9-a-side football tournament organised by Sports Journalists Association of Goa in collaboration with Don Bosco Oratory, Goa Football Development Council and Sporting Clube de Goa, at DBO ground, on Saturday.
Navhind scored a hard-fought solitary goal victory with Amaresh Parab’s first-half goal, proving the match-winning contribution.
GFDC chairman Dr Rufino Monteiro, Sporting Clube de Goa Chief Executive Officer Victor Fernandes and Don Bosco Oratory’s Fr Ralin de Souza were the special guests and gave away the prizes.
