The annual Vasco Saptah is just a few days away. Hectic preparations are on for the occasion which attracts crowd from all over Goa and the neighbouring States. One of the largest fair in Goa comes up in the port town.
However, it is observed that there are open drains at several places with the drain covers either in a broken state or missing altogether. One such place is just outside Vasco branch of the South India Bank. The place gets crowded during the Saptah fair.

There is every possibility of people falling in the open drain. The Vasco civic authorities need to see to it that all the open drains in the port town are covered with concrete slabs before Saptah in order to avoid any eventuality.
