SAO JOSE DE AREAL: Margao Sports Club scored an easy 3-1 win over Dicarpale Sports Club to enter the quarter-finals of the 36th Areal Panchayat Cup inter-village football tournament, organised by Areal Sports Club, at Padribhat ground, on Thursday.
All the goals were scored in the first session of play. It was Necil Pinto who opened the scoring for Margao Sports Club in the 5th minute. Necil doubled the lead in the 10th minute. Macwin Soares made the issue safe for Margao SC scoring the third goal.
Just two minutes left for the breather, Mabel Miranda scored the lone goal for Dicarpali Sports Club.
