PANJIM: Corporation of the City of Panaji cancelled permission to hold the annual Konkan Fruit Fest at the promenade alongside River Mandovi.
The festival will now be held at the Francisco Luis Gomes Garden, popularly known as Campal garden from the April 21 to 23.
Panjim Mayor Surendra Furtado told Herald that the decision to cancel the permissions was taken after the High Court directions to keep the promenade hassle-free for pedestrians.
He said that obeying the High Court direction, the CCP cancelled the permission for the Fest which was to be held on the promenade.
