NGPDA to regularise extensions to houses

CALANGUTE: North Goa Planning and Development Authority (NGPDA) Chairman Michael Lobo has asked Calangute villagers to register with the authority, if they have carried out extension work of their existing houses for legalising the same.
“If people have built an additional first or second floor they should register with PDA. We have maintained a book for land use record and register. If your house is part of residential or commercial it should me mentioned so accordingly we can classify your land. If they have crossed the prescribed FAR while extending and come for regularization, we can give them even 100 percent FAR on ‘as is where is basis’,” he said at a press briefing on Saturday at Calangute.
“One should compare the Regional Plan 2021 and the ODP. We have safeguarded all the fields and hills from the area. Yet some people are trying to paint a different image about this plan,” he sadi.
; between 1971 and 2017 all the houses that have come up in Calangute will be shown on this plan and the houses will be legalized,” he said.
